Something special is waiting for you...
A little something for you

Honey.

Today, I get to celebrate the person you are, the person you are becoming, and the beautiful life God has given you.

Happy Birthday, my person ♥
A letter for you

Dear Honey...

There are some things that are easier to write than to say. So today, I wanted to leave them somewhere you can come back to.

Dear Honey,

Happy birthday. ❤️

I have thought about what I could give you, what I could buy, what I could plan, and what could possibly feel worthy of celebrating you.

And somehow I kept coming back to the same thing: words.

Because there are so many things about you that I notice. So many little things that probably seem ordinary to you but aren't ordinary to me.

I love the conversations. I love the laughter. I love the moments when we pray together. I love hearing what is on your mind. I love learning more about the person underneath everything everyone else gets to see.

I love that there are moments with you that don't need anything spectacular happening to become memorable.

Sometimes it is just us talking. Sometimes it is just sitting together. Sometimes it is feeding each other, laughing about something silly, listening to music, studying the Bible, or simply being close.

Those moments matter to me more than you probably know.

And on your birthday, I don't just want to celebrate another year of your life.

I want to celebrate you.

The man you are. The man you are becoming. The things God has placed inside you. The dreams you carry. The things you're still figuring out. Even the parts of yourself you haven't learned to appreciate yet.

I pray this next year brings you closer to God, closer to purpose, and closer to the person He created you to become.

And selfishly... I hope I get to witness some of that journey.

So this is my little corner of the internet for you. A place full of memories, words, prayers, photographs, and little reminders of how I see you.

Happy birthday, Honey.

I am grateful for you.

I hope you know...

37 things I love
about you.

Not because you're perfect. Not because everything is always easy. But because somewhere along the way, I started noticing all these little things that make you, you.

I don't just love the big things about you.

I love the little things you probably don't even realise I notice... All of you

The little things

Things I notice
about you.

Some things don't make it onto photographs. They live in tiny moments that only the people close to us ever get to see.

The way you make time.

Even when life is busy, I notice the effort you make to create space for us. That means more than you know.

The way you listen.

I notice when you actually listen instead of simply waiting for your turn to speak.

Your curiosity.

I love hearing your thoughts, your ideas and the strange little questions your mind comes up with.

Your faith.

I love the moments when our relationship becomes more than just romance and we remember God together.

Your little expressions.

The faces you make, the little reactions, the moments you probably don't even realise I'm storing in my memory.

The way you care.

Sometimes you show care without making a big announcement about it. I see that.

Your ambition.

I like seeing you dream, think about the future and imagine what your life can become.

The person underneath everything.

That's the person I am most interested in knowing.

Somewhere along the way

Our little story.

Not every important moment has a date attached to it. Some chapters are simply moments that changed something.

When our paths crossed

Somewhere in the middle of ordinary life, our story began taking shape.

Getting to know you

Conversations became longer. The little details started mattering. And somehow, knowing you became something I genuinely looked forward to.

The little moments

The prayers. The Bible studies. The laughter. The quiet moments. The random conversations. The memories we didn't realise we were making.

Here we are.

Still learning each other. Still growing. Still figuring things out. Still choosing each other.

“The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.”
Numbers 6:24–26
My prayer for you

God, keep him.

More than anything I could give you, this is what I want for you.

Dear God,

Thank You for giving Dumi another year of life. Thank You for every experience that has shaped him, every lesson, every victory, every disappointment, and every moment that brought him closer to You.

Please guide him in this new year.

Give him wisdom when he doesn't know what decision to make. Give him courage when something scares him. Give him patience when things don't happen as quickly as he wants them to.

Protect his mind. Protect his heart. Protect his purpose.

Give him discernment about the people he allows into his life and wisdom about the opportunities he chooses.

Help him become the man You created him to be, not simply the man the world expects him to be.

Give him a deeper hunger for Your Word. Let his relationship with You become stronger. Teach him to hear Your voice even when everything around him is loud.

Bless the work of his hands. Open the right doors. Close the wrong ones. And give him the courage to recognise the difference.

And when he forgets how valuable he is, remind him.

When he becomes tired, give him rest, renew his strength

When he doubts himself, remind him that his worth isn't determined by one bad day, one failure, or one person's opinion.

Above everything, keep him close to You.

Amen.

Maybe someday soon

Things I hope
we get to do.

Nothing extravagant. Just a collection of little hopes.

01

Travel somewhere new.

Somewhere neither of us has been before, with terrible directions and probably too many photos.

02

Have ordinary Sundays.

food, conversations, laughing, and absolutely no need for anything big.

03

Keep studying Scripture.

More questions. More discoveries. More evenings where we end up talking about one verse for far too long.

04

Make ridiculous memories.

The kind that make absolutely no sense to anyone else but make us laugh years later.

05

Watch each other grow.

To look back one day and realise just how much God has changed both of us.

06

Keep choosing God.

Whatever the future looks like, I hope we never forget Who gave us the future in the first place.

our little soundtrack ♥

If you ever
forget...

You are more than your accomplishments.
More than your mistakes.
More than what people expect from you.

You are a person still becoming.
Still learning.
Still growing.
Still loved.

And I hope you never become so busy becoming that you forget to appreciate the person you already are.

One last thing

I saved something
for the end.

Honey...

If you've actually made it all the way down here, then you now know something I hope you never forget:

You matter to me.

Not because it's your birthday. Not because I'm trying to make you smile today. But because somewhere along the way, you became someone whose life I genuinely care about.

I don't know exactly what every chapter ahead looks like. And maybe that's okay.

I just know that I'm grateful for this chapter.

For the conversations.
For the prayers.
For the support.
For the memories.
For you.

Happy birthday, Honey.

May this be the year you realise just how much God has placed inside you.

And if you ever forget how loved you are, come back here.
